Katie Hammond
Katie is the Executive Director for Muscatine County Conservation in Iowa. She has BS in Animal Ecology with emphasis in Wildlife from Iowa State University. Muscatine County Conservation has a full-time staff of 8. They manage 11 parks and wildlife areas that include boating access, campgrounds, trails, and public hunting areas. Marketing, promotion, and education about the wise use of our natural and cultural resources is a key component of what they do. Katie lives in Louisa County and spends quite a bit of time on the Mississippi River fishing, boating, and paddling. She also enjoys hiking, biking, and exploring the wilder areas of Iowa and beyond.
